Curious as to people eating #keto or #carnivore - thoughts on supplements? I’ve long had a vitamin D deficiency, and have needed to supplement for that, especially living in a cold weather climate. I also never ate as well as I have the past few years. I also quit all my asthma meds due to my improvement in diet, so who knows what those were doing to me. I was having some weird arrhythmia issues, but those are gone since cutting out magnesium supplements. I take C, D, and a multi everyday. Is any of this necessary? I’m appealing to folks that have been down the rabbit hole ahead of embarking myself. Any thoughts and materials are welcome.
I’ve briefly looked at the folate thing, but sounds like a gotta go deeper.
Good to know. Think I’m going to cut it down to just D and C, and see how I feel after a couple weeks. Maybe cut out C from there. Supplementing with D when I started like 12 years ago really was a game changer.
Definitely have been down the Westin Price, Ancel Keys, big grain rabbit hole. We’ve also had so many of our nutrients ripped out of our soil, and I know it’s difficult to get everything we need naturally. I just haven’t explored what getting them non-naturally might look like, or if we should be doing it at all.
Definitely using plenty of salt. Gonna toss out the multi and C and see how it goes.
