Probably I am very late to pick up on that. But did you know that through #optainium you can get all your #opensource #android apps from the online git-repository directly? Optainium is an appstore that is more like an RSS reader than an appstore.

The app can eighter pay out to an onchain address monthly or to a given Lithning adress. For those who still sleep more calm with #fiat, that app also allows to pay out to a Bank. First year has 0.25% transaction fees the following years 1% and this fee includes transaction costs of BTC or Lithning transactions. In retun the app creats recepies, to respond to local tax office. So a very easy #opensource way to add BTC to payments without much additional work.

#opensource can be insecure. #opensource can theoretically have unknown vulnerabilities. The good point is, that opensource can be verified. It is easy to verify if an application only does, what it is supposed to do. Proprietary software has nothing to prove, there are no harmful usecases (as spying and data theft) implemented besides the primary purpose. I feel this is something all people should be aware of. Once this logic is general knowledge, our privacy crisis can phase out.

i made and am releasing a simple project i wanted for better notifications on nostr, bullhorn! i'd like to know when i get zaps, dms, and comments on my posts, as well as get event notifications when npubs post live events. there weren't any solutions that worked for me; so i made one. per usual, it's all open source and i take prs. there are definite improvements that could be done as well as new notification types and more config customization. i'm sure i'll do it at some point but i have some other things i wanna work on. hopefully someone else finds this useful! https://github.com/w3irdrobot/bullhorn #nostrdev #programming #oss #opensource
