Reposting with tags Here is a demo of #WebTorrent #hosting a 45 min #video with only 1 seeder (currently me). This page takes in the #magnet link text and uses the browser as a torrent application to stream in the video. #dns is merely for convenience, we dont need dns or any alternative decentralized dns as we dont really have websites anymore (not for a long time), but web apps, apps can self update and point user to new app version. apps are ofcourse referenced by their compression hash value (#webtorrent, #ipfs). now, how do users find these apps if there are no domain names? well.. why not use #nostr #search. we simply need good tools to search. and how does one find which is a good release of an #app? well.. nostr users can #zap notes which point to good releases of #apps.
