Crypto history is weird: - Ecash lead to Bitcoin - Bitcoin lead to stablecoins - Stablecoins lead to CBDCs CBDCs are very very bad. However, privacy advocates agree that the best one would be based on Ecash. ☯️

A cbdc based on ecash would kinda be best case scenario, right? Other than being fiat, would be cash levels of privacy

The obstruction to CBDCs wasn't technology. It was people born before 1945 that were against a cashless society. Bitcoin wasn't what lead to the cashless society, it was credit cards. Bitcoin and lightning embarrased the financial sector into leaving behind its highly profitable and information-rich credit card and debit card system. People from the depression/abolition era valued privacy much more than gen-x'ers. Now they are all gone and the internet natives are so deep into crazytown with their gmail, instagram and gaming society, they can't imagine having or even understand the value of the kind of privacy and freedom nostr and ecash provide.

It would have better privacy than most or maybe even all other cryptocurrencies.
For real. “I want total transactional privacy, except from tax authorities” said no one ever
