That is the worst. Pure chance once you have all but that one letter and there are multiple letters that make words. Took me a few guesses too.
Yeah. Sometimes it's best to sacrifice a turn and guess a word just to narrow down the one or two letters you're missing. In fact, there's a "hard mode" setting which requires subsequent guesses to keep green squares in them for them to be valid. Always a tough call though, as it's more exciting to nail it early with a lucky guess
Once I think I know what my vowels will be I try to use all available knowledge in every guess. Sometimes the words just don't come to me though.
