Yeah. There was a first season episode where Neelix's lungs were stolen and the episode was resolved be the aliens that stole his lungs helped do the operation so that Kes could donate a lung. They never mention after that point that they each have only a single lung.
The short lifespan thing gets even stranger in the episode where they show an alternate future where Kes and Paris got married. They had a daughter who 2 years later married Kim and they had a baby. It would be a strange thing to go through.
