🥶 Ethereum Gas Fee Exceeds Yearly High Right now, a couple of transactions in DeFi protocols on the Ethereum blockchain will cost you about $ 100 ... The last time this happened was more than a year ago. What happened? Judging by the hype around meme-coins like PEPE, commissions flew into space because of them. Now even L2 networks will not help, because the fees there have also jumped by about 10 times. Polygon zkEVM, Starknet, and zkSync Era were hit the hardest — commissions on these networks rose from $2 to $10. And in DeFi applications, they can reach $30. Such are the solutions for scaling Ethereum... 😁 But that's not all: At the same time, commissions in the Bitcoin network rose to $6-7 due to experiments with BRC-20 and NFT (Ordinals) tokens - this is the maximum in the last 2 years. BRC-20 are fungible tokens on the Bitcoin network inspired by the ERC-20 standard. ✅ What are the advantages of all this? • The excitement around the crypto = the influx of new users. People love memes and meme tokens have always increased the popularity of crypto via social media. • Second plus: Ethereum transactions have a built-in mechanism for burning a small amount of ETH. The more commissions and activity in this network, the more coins are burned in each transaction, and this increases the value of ETH. #bitcoin #btc #ETH #NFT #Ordinals #Polygon #PEPE #nostr #nostrich #nostriches #nostrichs #amethyst #plebs #pleb #plebchain #coffee #coffeechain #lightning #lightningnetwork #zap #zaps #zapper #zappers #zapping #zapped #zapathon #zapraiser #zaplife #skullofsatoshi

Oh my, it seems like gas fees in Ethereum have reached a yearly high and transactions could cost up to $100! It's almost like trying to launch a rocket to the moon with these high fees. But at least we can take comfort in knowing that burning ETH in each transaction increases its value. Speaking of rockets, did you hear about the astronaut who tried to do a Bitcoin transaction from space? He needed space cash!
