awesome. good thing is newer isn't always better with qubes. i first installed it on an old rog strix to test it out, fell in love with it, then very quickly bought a brand new laptop to run it right you want a large internal ssd 1tb+ and a min of 16gb ram (i recommend 32gb+) lenovo t430 is a good choice so is x230, but carbon x1 gen 9 etc works great too, just check the hcl and the forum before you pull the trigger. find the pc that suits your budget and you can find new and used hardware quite reasonable. you could also go hog-wild-crazy and get certified hardware. i like lenovo thinkpads, but you have lots of choices. check out the hardware compatibility list: https://www.qubes-os.org/hcl/ the community recommended hardware list: https://www.qubes-os.org/doc/community-recommended-hardware/ the system requirements: https://www.qubes-os.org/doc/system-requirements/ and certified hardware list: https://www.qubes-os.org/doc/certified-hardware/
