I think there will be satoshi/dollar parity in my lifetime... but I'm also going to zap 1K sats to every single person who comments on this post. Just because I see the value skyrocketing doesn't mean I'll hoard it, I still buy TVs even though the price will deflate over the next years. If my prediction is true, I think I'll reflect back with gratitude that I shot out sats to random plebs back in the early days of Nostr ⚡️💜⚡️💜⚡️

satoshi/dollar parity is very much in play, but life goes on in the mean time.
Totally agree, I think the sat/dollar parity comes more as a symptom of the dollars inevitable hyperinflation. It'll be cool to hold the $1000 bills, but I think the net value with be somewhere in the range of $20-50 of today's dollars.

So you’re saying your giving me 1k $ today ? PS : I expect a 100 sat / dollar party in my lifetime. Just for the fact that 210 Satoshi would be $2.10 of purchasing power.
Damn right! Although I think it'll be more of a function of the USD hyperinflating in relationships to BTC. 1K sats = 1k future dollars But the relative value would be more like $20 in today's dollars.

So, a devaluation of 5000% (50 times), which would mean BTC = $2,000,000 of today. Feasible!
I'm not so crazy as thinking it'll happen any time soon, I just think that with a long enough time horizon and the impossibility of our government to stop the printing we will eventually hit a hyperinflationary event where everyone sees through the veil.

Well, if we fix the dollar value to today's, that would mean a BTC market cap of 40 T$. That's 4 times gold's mcap. So, tomorrow? No, of course not. But defo during our lifetime (assuming you're not 90 years old or something xD).
