Technically your wallet isn't "on" your node. Your wallet is your public/private key pair which you can think of as your 12/24 words. If you enter those words into an app like sparrow, then sparrow will be able to sign and publish Bitcoin transactions on your behalf. It does this by broadcasting the transaction to a node that then broadcasts the transaction to the Bitcoin network. Most apps have a default #Bitcoin node that they all use to do this, but if you have your own node you can configure an app to send your transactions to your node instead of the default. This adds additional layer of security and privacy. Make sense?
