For me it is! I use it for receiving and Muun for sending. As far as I know, wallet of Satoshi is also used by a lot of plebs and it supports sending and receiving

You can also use Blue Wallet to manage your LNtips lightning wallet, and then use that for sending. It works with Alby, and I assume others as well. Don't use the built in Blue Wallet lightning account though, it sunsets in April.
