#Asknostr nostr:npub1te0uzs6vj29umjaxlqqct82j8q6ppyefrxq06dhr8d6pvwfatgkqjmjgwp I wonder if I could ask for a bit of help? Iβve maxed out my internal SSD running #umbrel apps/nodes and want to expand my drive size. Can I add an external usb drive ?
LINUX LAPTOP
Ahh thatβs a work around I guess, I suppose I could leave the internal drive in , clone it to usb and then change boot order, that should coco

#[2] #[3] most likely LVM was enabled at 1st in original node hardware box - unless it was VM so 1. backup all key/seed/config data outside DISK 2. add additional disc - rebuilt again from scratch unless u temporary 1TB storage to copy data out n mave back to after LVM2 disks are built 3. u need linux cli knowledge / search tools many free tips in or outside nostr
typo - most likely NO LVM enabled in ur box so u have enable it in fresh partition HDD (erasing all in hdd)
Thanks for that , it looks a bit more complicated than I thought it would be , have found some resources on lvm and instantly needed a nap π΄ Iβll get my head around it though π«π€πΌπ₯π€πΌ
π alternate is - BUY 2TB or 3TB new disk again what if that disk fails / gets full someday few years from now
I prefer the idea of smaller multiple drives for sure ππ½ but I may just go for the single drive for now whilst I continue to learn, imma sleep on it
