= ANNOUNCEMENT = Eden.nostr.land relay is going away! We will be sunsetting it in 30 days on August 26. We hope that is enough time for everyone to backup and restore their notes on other relays. Thanks nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m for taking interest. It’s due to cost mainly. Costs peaked $593 USD in March when Eden was still geographically distributed and we averaged over 900 connections on each node for their respective time zones. We’ve since taken costs down, and the bills totalled $217 in the month of June. Granted there have been some issues accepting payments in the last month mainly because Eden is running on less resources, but even so new signups tanked way before that to one or two a day. We’ve got this far and we should have been able to turn things around however for me in particular work and personal life responsibilities have taken priority now more than ever, and that meant less time to code up new revenue streams in a timely manner.
