I use multiple phones because I never saw any reason to discontinue using the one I had, entirely. I think most of what would make a smart device like this function is to simply see the device for what it is. It has a screen, HD, ram, motherboard with done integrated functions like WiFi and other sensors, just like a raspberry pi does. So basically a smart device is a small computer, and software can be written for it so that it can be used in the way we want. So we can keep on buying android and Apple smart devices, but we need an OS that is ours.

FOSS is this of course. It is the embodiment of the counter revolution of what has happened to us when we all bought devices that for convenience sake had software already installed on it. We're in it. It's just that in this phase we can't be allowed to be lazy. We have to develop. We need to save humanity from the clutches of big tech by doing our homework.
