Some people see this and think they won't need specialized clients. They are wrong. Amethyst, as a communities-supporting app, will never be as good as a dedicated communities app. It will never be as good as a dedicated live streaming app. Amethyst will never replace the Highlighter app or a conference app, or a calendar app or a lists app. Amethyst's role is to support everything in Nostr in order to help each use case grow faster. The whole point of this is to rebuild big tech in a decentralized protocol. And we will do it case by case. Absolutely! Nostr will have absolutely amazing apps built and centeree around a particular service and we'll have catch all apps that allow us to explore and participate in various aspects of the protocol. No one app will be a true everything app because we'll have various clients for different use cases. Personally, I think it is counterproductive, and will only achieve the opposite in the long run. It's good UX that will drive adoption, and it should therefore be given greater priority, over adding more use-cases. My 2 sats.

An “everything” app will probably be really hard to maintain, both code-wise and UX-wise (too many options/bloated UIs, etc).
