I'm not endorsing any book on this website, but at the same time, I strongly suggest that people explore banned and suppressed books. There is something very fascinating in there, and a lot of answers, but be careful. 🫡 https://samisdat.in/en
This website contains wide variety of books including banned books. "out-of-print, out-of-copyright, no-longer available or very difficult to find, hidden, suppressed, banned or otherwise prevented from wider public access and distribution"

At least 15 of these were assigned reading at my high school, and almost all of them are main stream and considered great reading. I mean seriously. Who the hell believes that “Charlottes Web” or “Harry Potter” or “The Hunger Games” are books which threaten the government that they don’t want you to read? That’s a silliest thing I’ve ever heard. Where’s Atlas Shrugged at? Or the Creature From Jekyll Island? Those still aren’t “banned” books but at least those selections make a tiny bit of sense considering their ideas actually threaten the current government.
