I must have used amethyst since the day it came out. It's impressive how you managed to modernize and cleanup and ever growing code base since then. It must have took a lot of grit, persistence and will. There's always the temptation of starting something new from scratch

Boot from live USB installer, open a shell, mount the OS partition, edit /etc/fstab, change UUID values to the correct ones (use lsblk) or just go with the vibes and use non-deterministic names like /dev/mmclpk0p1, they will work almost 100% of the time.

Why do you need to justify it? Other animals are fine with eating eachother, even the ones that are omnivores and have a "choice". If you claim humans are special and need to be held on a higher moral standard than animals, then you cannot claim a humans and animals are worth the same (or are "brothers and sisters") since that would be in deep contradiction with your own original premise.

I'm not. Everything I said applies to privacy. You can be fully anonymous and still have poor privacy if everything you do is tracked and correlated.
"Privacy" is multidimensional and weird. On one hand you are providing less data than others. OTOH, by providing significantly less, you are standing out from the crowd like a sore thumb, effectively being "unique" and thus trackable

What is mediocre about using the most efficient tools available at the time? Just doing that is not the only indicator of quality of course, but that is besides the point. If you take 2 devs with the same knowledge level and skill, the one that uses the best tool will have an edge and will outpace the other.
