Also the whole “no KYC” thing is just a temporary mirage. If it gains traction, mints will be held to the same laws as every other custodian. The laws likely already apply, it’s just about risk of enforcement.
I think people are confused why this is being hailed as a big deal because this has been possible with a custodial lightning wallet since nostr began and several clients have in-app wallets already. I have a pretty minimal understanding, but I thought the cashu value is on the privacy/offline spending side of things. I’m not sure I understand how it changes onboarding at all.
If you’re more of an http person, there is also a web API here: https://docs.nostr.wine/api/classification nostr:note1y46477j2dz6sgt7qnfweqtmsuj0nlwn3jdw3wm42c520mcl8d5dssw3u5l
Yup - it’s time. We launched optional support for NIP-42 in March of last year. I think it’s been long enough.
We are going to start transitioning filter.nostr.wine to require NIP-42 AUTH soon. If your client still doesn’t support AUTH - please encourage the developers to add it!
First - Relayguardian is free! What tools are you using to evaluate uptime/performance of your websocket? We have lots of http monitoring for our websites and backends but I had trouble finding a good out of the box solution for nostr relays. RelayGuardian connects, makes a nostr REQ and writes a nostr event to verify the relay is not only reachable but functioning. If there’s something out there that offers this please share it with me!
If you run a nostr relay and don’t use nostr:npub1wsguarddmjs97h4m026fsmv5974jk2s2rgu2urt7remjz9nnah0qq2mlse - why? 🤔 nostr:note1xwnjqnveej7vplhcvr0dkvlp6tlknfl4etswn9lyuphc83ee6dgq5ndr7r
Never gets old. Do you fly?
Good eye
The 🍷 nostr.wine topic classifier is back! This is just the last 2 days. Soon filter.nostr.wine subscribers will be able to browse notes by topic, sentiment, if urls/images/videos are present in the content, and nsfw = true/false.
Got beat up by headwinds today. Took me 6 hours to fly 900 NM. ☃️ https://v.nostr.build/P3Yd.mp4
Example: it classified this nostr:npub1qqqqqqyz0la2jjl752yv8h7wgs3v098mh9nztd4nr6gynaef6uqqt0n47m photo as NSFW, I guess because of the leg 😂
Unfortunately the problem is mostly false negatives, not positives :(. I think I’ll probably just replace this model with something more robust/accurate.
No! Thanks for providing a valid test 😂
Finally this terrible nsfw detection model I’m using got one right! cc: nostr:npub12z8jsett3k6rv9fa2guau5p540qr2xuvjzkr8e432mglafjt99sqkw9zmx

It’s true 😂 we have a few talented designers but everyone is on grants.
I thought you were referring more generally to NIP-42. In the case of Creatr specifically, it is as simple as isolating your global view to the relay. We will continue iterating to support whatever community views that clients support as our main goal is interoperability. There’s still a long ways to go for sure. On several clients it’s quite easy to isolate a single relay. Here is a video showing the free preview content on the relay if you aren’t subscribed to anyone on Damus. If you were subscribed to someone, you would see their exclusive posts in this feed. If you went to a Creatrs profile feed, you’d see their exclusive content and free posts together. Clients could support labeling these posts and filtering them to make them stand out further, but it’s not required for our relay to work. https://v.nostr.build/xvJz.mp4
Which client are you using? Creatr requires NIP-42. Free posts appear in “global” type REQs for kind 1s. You can see it on the web with an extension via the My Creatr page on https://creatr.nostr.wine but it is intended to be consumed in your client.
