Not too bad at all! Thanks to all the Nostriches out there! I’ve built my fair share of "enterprise" software, moving billions in fiat and petabytes of data. I’ve even built some OSS that I’m proud of, ranging from game decompilations enjoyed by a community of, I don’t know, eight people, to dev tooling packages downloaded millions of times. But I’m especially proud of Haven in all of its "small intenet" glory. Its ~130 stars, several forks, and the hundred or so instances run by users out there. All credit goes to nostr:nprofile1qqsw9n8heusyq0el9f99tveg7r0rhcu9tznatuekxt764m78ymqu36cpr3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujucnfw33k76twwpshy6ewvdhk6tcpzdmhxue69uhhwmm59e6hg7r09ehkuef0qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtn4w3ux7tn0dejj7ne6u4e of course, but contributing to Haven, Khatru, and the underlying Nostr ecosystem, hits different. You know, mantaining stuff used by real human beings. It sorta restored my faith that I can put my skills to good use: help users own and preserve their content, push devs to hack cool things, and basically do my fair share to allow humans to be humans in what’s still left of the old school internet out there. Hey Girino, It took me another day to get to it because GitHub Actions is no bueno, and I needed a bunch of workarounds to get GoReleaser working locally. Here you go — and thanks in advance for your help: https://github.com/aaccioly-open-source/haven-gha/releases/tag/v1.1.2 I've already "tested" it on both Windows and Linux (and by "tested", I mean I checked that it starts lol). Tests shouldn't be too complicated. Just use it as you normally would and see if it's stable :). Configure your key, import notes and let it run for a while sending and receiving notes. I'm starting simple with just tar.gz and zip files, but now that those are in place, we can later add deb, rpm, pkg.tar, AppBundles, MSI installers, container images, etc etc etc. After Girino is done testing I'll write some documentation on how to verify file origin and integrity.

Too many people already commented and I'm a bit lazy to read it all... I would just, say keep it Vanilla to start. Mint is not bad and it's what I recommend for most folks. Other than that Fedora works pretty well. Linux folks like to send users straight to rolling releases, but I would spend some time with a more traditional distro, figure out what desktop environment and window manger you like, etc. I spent some time in openSUSE and Arch, both are brilliant but I would still pick SUSE for a rolling release.

Likely you aren't doing anything wrong. BUD-04 (mirroring) is optional, and unfortunately, every Blossom server implementation is doing something slightly different with the mirror endpoint. Clients also have very different expectations of what the mirror endpoint should do, and currently, there’s a lot of Blossom-enabled software that doesn’t play well together. nostr:nprofile1qqszv6q4uryjzr06xfxxew34wwc5hmjfmfpqn229d72gfegsdn2q3fgpzfmhxue69uhkummnw3e82efwvdhk6tcpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhszythwden5te0dehhxarj9emkjmn99urf278z and I tried to address some of the ambiguity in the specs, but I guess it’ll take a while to trickle down into implementations. 💯. Installing Cursor and a random Solidity plugin anywhere near 500k in crypto is just dumb (assuming this is even true). But to be fair, the BTC ecosystem isn’t really any more immune to this kind of thing than Ethereum. I forgot to mention: LinkedIn is also prime ground for stealing crypto from naive devs. And the infection vector is almost always JavaScript-related, not because a JS dependency is inherently less safe than, say, a JAR file or something installed via Go or Cargo. It's just that you're exponentially more likely to find a hot wallet lying around on a typical JS full-stack soydev MacBook than on the usual Linux neckbeard’s 13-year-old Lenovo or on your finance bro’s corporate-locked hardware that can't do anything beyond connecting to a VDI that is constantly monitored by at least 20 different people at all times (And yes, I'm stereotyping hard today 🤣) https://github.com/rubenmarcus/malicious-repositories
