Old technology for the win. This Western Electric 302 sat unused in someone’s closet for decades. All metal version before they changed to thermoplastic when WWII started. Some fluctuations are expected especially when starting up after being off for a while. That said, once it gets up to speed and finds its sweet spot, it should run right around the expected hashrate. If it’s dropping by half for periods of time, that would suggest a bad hash board, overheating, malfunctioning control board, bad chips, or possibly network issues staying in contact with the pool.
