Well, depends what xeons - if v4 and older, they cost pennies and can be used not only for mining tasks, so I don't see a big issue really

100% agreed. I think it can be a good idea to mute users with invalid NIP-05, or at least have an optional setting to do that

I think in theory it is possible for decentralized setup to not fail with multi-path transactions and fat channels when sending small payments (I would say sub 100k sats), but on practice this makes LN even more expensive to operate than it is now already.
