GE Nostr. Virtualisation on Mac is improving quite a bit. Today, I had UTM/QEMU VMs with Windows on ARM and Fedora 42 + KDE guests running for several hours. Yes, it was much slower than Parallels, but I had zero issues. The laptop even suspended, (something that used to be almost a coin flip at best before the zram era). https://github.com/utmapp/UTM/issues And even cooler than that: Haven (Nostr relay software) was running in both VMs. While it became inaccessible while the laptop was sleeping, it reconnected as soon as I reached the macOS login screen. I'm impressed! If you're doing anything graphically demanding or need deep integration between Host and Guest OSes, pay for Parallels ot try VMware Fusion. For just about everything else, UTM/QEMU is probably good enough. #macOS #virtualisation #UTM #QEMU
