feed your cat diced fried/grilled beef steak
kitty will eat a lot less than you expect, and won't be harassing you the next day for feeding
plus it seems to keep better at room temperature, probably due to the tallow sealing it, as inevitably some will be left and not eaten for some time
regular pasteurised foods seem to make the cat more hungry and overeat
the dry foods, the absolute worst part about them is that all kinds of nasty microscopic critters live on them, and fungi, and unless it's got no carbs in it, it's gonna eventually destroy their kidneys
on the beef - eats less weight of food, eats less frequently, has better motions, is calmer and more happy, gets gum massage, healing gingevitis, and +2 intelligence
