Taking my time to go through some older games on my 3DS while I'm sick. Playing Pokemon HG, because I don't recall ever finishing that one.

I mostly agree that games went in the wrong direction after the pixel era. So, I draw the line at before X and Y. Zoomer Pokefans would hate me for saying that lol. If anything, the older games are hard COMPARED to the newer ones. I didn't find Pokemon SV hard at all.

That being said, Pokémon games were always kind easy to be fair. Just outlevel the next Gym and you are good.

I belive pokemon started to lose its charms around 6th gen onward and I didn't felt attracted by the Switch pokemon games at all to be honest..

The Switch games are a mess. Pokémon SWSH is easily the best one among all of them, but that's because it's just traditional Pokémon.
