In case you didn't know, the members of EU Parliament that will be elected tomorrow don't have any power to initiate/propose legislation or a vote. 1 out of 7 EU institutions is democratically elected, and it's the one with more constrained power. 🤡

This was an article I wrote in 2016 about the UK BREXIT vote, it analyses how the EU works in comparison to the UK: https://mikehardcastle.com/2016/06/03/brexit-and-i/

Back then I remember I was super anti-brexit. How foolish of me but at least I had the excuse of being young and fully indoctrinated

True. EC is simply throwing non-stop bullshit legislation on everyone so that interested parties must play defense all the time. EU legislative process seems mindblowingly disbalanced.

Ironically, purely at a personal level, waiting in the "non EU" passport queue when visiting European countries has made me regret my lifes voting choices 😂

Sovereignty comes with a price. Not that the UK rulers are better/worse than the ones in Brussels, but at least the power is closer to the people.
