π let me feel out the interest and maybe. There are some things I'd do differently for sure, pipe cleaners so not work for leaf support. I thought I had heavy floral wire but couldn't find it.

hell yeah! cheese can have a nice plump piece of bread now.
It could work. Floral wire or armature wire of different strengths are the usual solution, you crochet around it and the yarn becomes bendy.
