Trying to force people to learn pitch accent right off the bat is pointless, especially when they don't even want to live in Japan. When learning a language, set goals for yourself based on what you want to do. If you just want to read manga and watch anime, then intonation is mostly irrelevant. But if you want to live in the target country, then sure, go ahead and pay Dogen, lol.
