you don't have to, it just turns on like once a day for 2 minutes and resets your system's real time clock even the lowest quality quartz oscillators are accurate enough to not slip more than a few seconds out of sync, plus keep in mind that the actual day varies itself... and interestingly, recetnly the day has been getting shorter than 24 hours, for about 10 years now it has been getting faster (it's because of a very large scale magnetic polarity shift in process)
yeah, there was terrestrial time signals at one time too, but most of the stations shut down a decade ago sadly
