I was just listening to this discussion, between Ulrike Herrmann and Katja Gentinetta talking about capitalism, financial industry, the energy sectors and more. Someone like Ulrike Herrmann seems to be at least intelectual capable to discuss the topics compared to some "climate activist" 😉 Of course, if that's not the case, it's not worth. But she gets so much media attention in Germany, promoting her book praising society collapse! Bitcorners need to be more visible, to spread a message of hope based on technological progress! What's interesting about this interview with Norbert Bolz is his opinion that problems caused by technology (aka climate change due to industrialization) can be either solved by new improved technology or not at all (he didn't say that, but of course I thought of #Bitcoin here) I think, this makes perfect sense 🤔 As an example, is anyone aware of any long term software bugfix that was not solved with an upgrade, but with a series of downgrades 🪲? I doubt so, another strong argument against the theory that society collapse can be only avoided by massively shrinking energy consumption.
