Looking to optimize my Bitaxe Supra. I see that the Noctua NF-A4x20 5V PWM fan would be a good upgrade. Anyone has experience with it? I read that it might not be the best for overclocking. Is there another fan that’s better? Or the noctua is what’s best? #asknostr
Is it the same model that you’re using? The fan I mean
Did you need extra parts to install or the stock fan is four-pin as well?
Nevermind just looked at the Supra 🤣 The fan is four-pin. Thanks!
I only see one port on mine
Great idea! That’s the device I see under the fan?
Yeah definitely just one on mine
“Technical Breakdown: The stock heatsink (yep, the shiny gold one that most Bitaxes are sporting) handles about 10-12W of heat.” It is. Thanks for the link
That’s what I’m thinking. Ninja quiet fan. I ordered one
Good to know! Thanks
I ordered one of those. Paid with lightning ⚡️
I figured quieter is better. Especially since overclocking .6 TH won’t change much
I ordered the heat sink that Nathan suggested in the thread. It should help
I haven’t thought about that. I guess that would be much easier to do than with a bitmain. That’s what you do with yours?
It’s in the laundry room. Away from people 😂 Maybe I can bring it out with the ninja quiet fan
Are you on a custom os or just stock?
Not as bad as the big miners but yeah a constant annoying sound
Just raise the temperature and the efficiency or another secret menu? I’m not aware of a custom os either but figured you might know about it 🤣
That’s your average? With the Supra? Wow. How cool is your room?
Amazing
Good idea. I can’t lower the temperature that much in the room where I put it but I could add a fan pointed at it
