First time using #Primal on Android. All my deleted messages were not deleted and there is no option to delete them. There is no option even to cancel a repost. Why? It would be very nice having an option to make notes ephemeral in clients.
Deletion should be made by relays. What amazes me is that both #amethyst and #ditto are not showing deleted notes while #primal is. Why? The relay setting is the same.
I know that deletion cannot be assured on #nostr but the fact that major relays and/or clients do not respect user actions is what is calling my attention. It is not only this issue, there is a lot of marketing about freedom, privacy, respect for the user... but my gut feeling is that most of it is just bullshit. Recently I've seen and I had experienced behavior from "freedom" companies that is far worse than big tech. My opinion is going towards the conclusion that "privacy", " freedom" and bla bla bla are just marketing keywords trending these days. Even Meta and Google noticed the zeitgeist.
