Yes! The more, the merrier.
Our project has 3 alpha-testers, who check manually after we merge to the next-alexandria.gitcitadel.eu , but we need a higher standard of quality for alexandria.gitcitadel.eu . There's just an old prototype on there, right now, so that it's not empty.
The script will be for checking the most basic functions and timing the loading of particular documents. We're trying to find out how the relays respond, over more geographic areas and at different hours of the day, and how the client fares with different computers, signers, and browsers. There are often particular combinations that cause problems, and we can't cover all of them with our own test-efforts.
First round of the bug hunt is planned for the end of February, and will include all of the major features: publishing, reading, searching, and visualizing. Then we will correct whatever bugs are found, add some minor features, and have another round 2 or 3 weeks later, with an updated script. Then we do more bug-fixes, if necessary, and release.
I'm going to open a "test script" article and write the names of the testers in it, at the bottom. I'll tag everyone on the list in a reply, when we start, and everyone can just reply to the article with their test result. That should keep us from blowing up everyone's kind 01 feeds with a bug hunt hellthread.
