for IPv4 you can get 256 on a rental basis for like 150-200$/month yeah i was just looking into this recently for the idea of renting just a few but it's basically 256 addresses or one, with a price differential that is nutty, and there seems to be nobody offering them in smaller groups like 3 bits or 5 bits what ever happened to CIDR did that just sorta get forgetted or something lol?

I think the CIDR issue is in the routing…if you just need a block that has service already you fine, but most carriers will not route to a block smaller than /24 on IPv4…also usually hard to get an ASN setup for a block smaller than that. I have a few carriers that will give you small blocks at little or no charge, but anything I wanted to peer they wanted an ASN to at least a /24.
yeah, actually buying title seems to be a bit like the real estate market i suppose they are parking their cash there too
and the next size down is 32 very gay, smells like bad incentives gone riot
