#privacy #firefox #browser #brave #adblocking Did you know, that uBlock Origin works best on Firefox. I mean I have heared about this before. But just today I found this wiki-page in uBlock origin comparing browsers. And uBlock on Firefox seems to be around 95% efficient in 3rd party blockers compared to Brave, which is rated around 75%.

#asknostr #privacy For checking Device Fingerprinting, I really like deviceinfo.me But other scores like https://www.amiunique.org/ I feel do not really deliver helpful results. Is there a website like amiunique, but rather then a score it tries to match my session based on the metrics and will display me when I entered this webpage the last time.? Since this would give me some kind of proof, that the metrics actually are working to track me. The bare scores of similarity do not really mean anything. Since in the end I want to know, if my behavior can be tracked from a tracking company like Google or Facebook. To showcase this, it would be great to have a page that operates a tracking, but only shows me when I entered this page the last time, and based on what metrics it could find out it was me again. Like this anyone using it can interactively learn how to protect. If it exists please give me a hint.

With more and more websites blocking VPN IP address I'm finding myself using TOR Browser much more frequently. TOR brings additional anonymity, too, which is a benefit. Youtube is becoming increasingly difficult to use, too and apps like FreeTube and NewPipe are often unusable. But damn it's obnoxious how surveilled and un-private the web has become. I'm bullish on where we're headed though! Do you have any work-arounds or anything you're doing to retain as much privacy as possible? #Privacy #YouTube #VPN #TOR

I'd like to thank Microsoft and it's shareholders for inspiring me to completely wipe Windows 11 from my laptop in favor of Ubuntu, no dual boot or WSL this time. I was going to do this anyways, but it was expedited 😂 Next up, GrapheneOS, anyone have a good alternative for Google Photos? #grapheneOS #privacy

PSA: "Spud2020!" is not a good wifi password. It got cracked in 5 hours at 370 kH/s. I've been learning to use the Flipper and Hashcat so I have a better understanding of how these exploits work. I am not good at this, but I will get your crappy password. Make passwords long (like 21 or more characters) and random. I have wordlists and rules for all the cute leetspeak crap you might inject into your password. I have wordlists and rules for all the cute sentences you might use. Long and random. This is the way. I should not be able to crack anybody's password in freaking 2024 with my loser noob skills. #security #privacy
