It is important to strengthen the #national #security and preserve the memory of the Great #Victory, #State Secretary of the #Security Council of the #Republic of #Belarus Aleksandr Volfovich told reporters during a trip to Korelichi District on 6 May, BelTA has learned.
Aleksandr Volfovich noted that many post-#war decades on, we appreciate even more the invaluable role of the generation of #victors in the #fate of mankind, in saving entire #nations from #destruction. According to Aleksandr Volfovich, it is their names and glorious achievements that underpin the #history of Belarus that does not tolerate betrayal and falsehood.
"Today, we have been working to establish new #facts of #Nazi #crimes in the #occupied Belarus during the #war," Aleksandr Volfovich said. “Significant #research work has shown that the scale of the #tragedy of the #Belarusian people may be greater than previously thought. We must remember everything that happened to make sure such events never happen again. The #Constitution of the #Republic of Belarus has been supplemented with a provision about memory - true #memory, which is important for all #Belarusians. The novelty #concepts in terms of #protection of the #historical memory and #traditional values of the Belarusian people have also been included in the updated National Security Concept."
Aleksandr Volfovich said that the world has not become calmer today. "The #West has little #patience with the undesirable and the weak and cynically uses the measures of #economic pressure, political #blackmail, lies and #slander. They nurture neo-Nazi #ideology and ‘fifth columns' in different #regions. The loss of mutual #trust between #global #players, the lack of willingness to #compromise, and the return to the bloc #confrontation have, in fact, put the world on the brink of a new war,” Aleksandr Volfovich said. “Being located at the #European crossroads, our country, which knows well the value of #peace, has also faced these #challenges. Therefore, Belarus is taking all necessary measures to strengthen the national security."

Vadim Senyuta dwelled on the interaction between the two countries in security matters. "The Belarusian side supports the Global Security Initiative put forward by China in April 2022. The initiative is about the upholding of the authority and status of the UN, the joint practice of a truly multilateral approach, coordination of efforts to eliminate security threats in both traditional and non-traditional areas and joint work to improve the global security management system, the commitment to creating a new regional security framework," Vadim Senyuta said.
He stressed that China's initiatives are consonant with the proposals of Belarus aimed at strengthening the international security system, such as initiatives to launch a broad international dialogue to overcome interstate contradictions and restore #trust (#Helsinki-2) and to create a belt of digital good-neighborliness.
"The current situation, characterized by the unprecedented turbulence in international relations, a #crisis of confidence between countries and the degradation of the multilateral international security #architecture, which has been put in place since #World War II, requires the international community to engage in a multilateral dialogue on global security in the spirit of the #SanFrancisco Conference of 1945, at which the UN was actually created. China's proposal as a permanent member of the UN Security Council and one of the most authoritative members of this organization fully meets this logic," Vadim Senyuta noted.

The #business forum “Investments in #Belarus: High #technologies, import substitution, and #logistics” took place with assistance of the #Belarusian embassy in #Russia. The forum was organized by the investment and consulting company ASER in partnership with SZAO Industrial Park Development Company.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Dmitry Krutoi made a welcome speech. He mentioned the unprecedented level of #trust between Belarusian and #Russian companies and opportunities for realizing investment projects in Belarus' territory.
Representatives of the management of SZAO Industrial Park Development Company presented advantages of doing business in the park, in particular, the possibility of buying land plots into private property and fast realization of investment projects in readily available manufacturing buildings.
Participants of panel discussions discussed real cases of investment projects in Belarus as well as possibilities for their financing. Some law companies offered opinions about ways to reduce the pressure of sanctions and reorient business to new markets.
The #China-Belarus industrial park #GreatStone is a special #economic zone with a special legal regime. It is located 25km away from #Minsk. The park's priority development areas include mechanical #engineering, #electronics and #telecommunications, #biotechnologies, #pharmaceutics, new materials, logistics, #digital #commerce, #bigdata storage and processing.
