I've lived in the USA 🇺🇸 and Germany 🇩🇪, and moved back-and-forth three times, but my quality of life and personal freedom is higher here. Maybe hard to believe, but Europe is a great place to enjoy the decline.
Freedom of movement, freedom of speech, freedom of life, freedom of association, freedom of commerce...
And we can buy raw milk without getting terrorized by a SWAT team.
My husband got trapped in a cell in the depths of Washington Dulles Airport for 3 hours, for no reason, just cuz they thought it was cute. That was over a decade ago. It's just gotten worse, since then. I don't know, if we will travel back there, next year. Nobody wants to go. Open Air Gulag With Guns and Beer and OnlyFans
And we can go for walks. Never felt more trapped, than wanting to go for walks in the American suburbs. Had to walk in the street or drive a car to what a call "people parks", where people are allowed to run around without a leash, without getting shot for trespassing.
Also, just... not getting shot. Walking around in public, day and night, without worrying about being shot, is an underrated freedom. Americans can't comprehend why anyone would want this: A) They don't walk. Anywhere. Ever. Why are Europeans so weird? B) Getting shot happens. Europeans are cowards. C) If you aren't getting shot, it's cuz nobody has a gun. But then... think about it, if you don't have a gun, how will you shoot back at people who shoot at you? If those people existed. Like... theoretically. Hear me out...
Move over, guns and butter.

Germany is confusing, to outsiders, because it has legal pot and brothels and mass-immigration, and etc., but a law about how straight cucumbers have to be, when used to make pickles.
Oh, I thought you lived in the States.
