Interesting - set up a custom lightning address yesterday, tested it and... It works via WoS, but Phoenix, Zeus and ZBD can't find it and return an error. More tinkering, perhaps...I dunno.

What is your setup? 🐶🐾🤔
Followed the Alby guide, https ://getalby. com/.well-known/lnurlp/<username> downloaded the file added it to my server in the public_html folder. Funny thing is, going through Zeus, which I've connected to my alby acc, doesn't find it.
That’s probably not the best way to do it. I’ve done some proxies with Cloudflare workers (ex: [email protected]) and one for frogtalk.lol , but I always fetch the data to ensure that all parameters are up to date. Callback and other things may change, so normally it is dynamic 🐶🐾🫡
Hmm... admittedly I went for what appeared to be the simplest easiest option - what would your recommendation be? I'm learning as I go, so it needs to be Forrest Gump level simple, if such a thing exists
Not sure if this will help, but https://github.com/getAlby/js-lightning-tools has Lightning Address Proxy that you could use 🐶🐾🫡
Definitely worth a look, there's a whole load of useful stuff there, cheers

just to understand it correctly, you downloaded the file and placed it also in <your domain>/.well-known/lnurlp/<username>? now when you use <username>@<yourdomain> it‘s not working? Would you share your address? when you can selfhost stuff, then this is very good choice for your own ln address https://github.com/believethehype/nostdress
I use and contributed to nostdress, so can recommend. This will require for you to have a node that you own (for full self hosting) but I think it can proxy too. 🐶🐾🫡
My address on nostdress is the same as configured for zaps, so you can check how it works. 🐶🐾🫡
i think you don’t have issues with your address 😉 so i meant the address of nostr:npub1cllf97qv29kqc493t6xj26kqw2qsxmvnf6sl7w0mpnv2plt8wumqta3zny
yes you can also set a forward url.
Curiously, this morning all the wallets were able to find the address but now I can't send payments and keep getting failures - could be a min/max issue
