I don't do follows.
I specifically don't have follows (on this npub, I have some on nostr:npub1m4ny6hjqzepn4rxknuq94c2gpqzr29ufkkw7ttcxyak7v43n6vvsajc2jl ), to detect this sort of attempt to put my communications into this sort of follow-list gulag.
Anyway, doesn't matter. I've almost got the social feed working on my Alexandria branch, so whatever.

when it's ready for prod i'm switching strangely seeing this shit, only a small bit tho, didn't bother me that much but probably because i've got fatigue about the plain results of this "my free relays" bullshit i prefer to call them subscriptions, not follows, also. i subscribe to see their posts. a peer to peer publication network is precisely what this thing is supposed to be. i prefer to make my lists open also because it's an expression of my opinion that has value to some people. it's a public forum, and i'm some kind of senator, and my voting record is open. i understand the principle of shifting a lot of that to relays tho. not least of which being bandwidth.
I just made a list filter, that always includes the kind 3 (follows) list and all other custom lists you create, and then you can filter the entire feed by that list. I do find that useful, for making sure I keep track of what my favorite people are posting, and so that I can stalk y'all in the replies. LOL And I remove the logged-in user's public mutes from every fetch. Private mutes are retarded. But it isn't a substitute for removing spam and hardcore porn from the relays. There are 18+ relays and completely indiscriminate relays that people can subscribe to, that will add that stuff back into the feed for them, even on Alexandria. But that should NOT be the default behavior.
I'm thinking I should calibrate the list filter for social to show all of their OPs and any thread they're having a discussion in, but to then show all the parts of the thread available on the relay set (which the logged-in user determines, otherwise it's our community relays and any localhost I can dig up). And I can find them over their respective outboxes. What do you think about that logic?
This one broke 1200 and I couldn't fix a bug. Figured smaller bits would be easier to comb through. The main bit is for all feeds, and then you can customize it for particular controls.
