i decided that while this ongoing crazy windy rainy weather continues, both to save me from staring at salt-and-dust dirtied windows to the often cloud-and-fog occluded mountains to my east, and from the small possibility of a large, wind propelled object striking my windows, i'm keeping all the shutters closed only one i can't do this for is the one in my kitchen, which is largely in the shadow from the prevailing northerly winds from the north atlantic - which is probably the least likely place for a heavy enough object to get swept into collision with the window they don't have shutters on the windows of buildings in #madeira for nothing - and it's not just a thing here in the north, we just get rain with it, in the south the number of times i had doors slamming from wind on a day that was otherwise pretty calm and then suddenly all hell breaks loose, and often, just as quickly it's gone again it's one of the things that you see pretty consistently in the dilapidated old buildings dotted around the landscape... shutters broken and then busted windows behind them the darkness inside does kinda give a certain vibe tho... and i make it more overt by using dim orange LED lamps to give the place that certain kind of refuge vibe #deardiary #weather
