I've never met a man who wanted a full-time housewife, in perpetuity. I think they're an Internet myth.
I keep seeing men online complaining about women working outside of the home, as if that were even an option for most women. Bro, you and what army?
At most, he wants you to help him at his business (so, cheap labor) or you are only to stay home due to caretaking. The whole 50s housewife thing is not a thing. It was barely even a thing in the 50s.
LOL no. That's just a female farmer.

hi, I am man. I have a wife though. She's great. nostr:nprofile1qqsgl84eraxfwfhxlwq7syalgxfu46cnz0z8s4httgdaj9rjhmgn7ncpz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduqs7amnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wd4hk6qgkwaehxw309aex2mrp0yhxummnw3ezucnpdejq7gw5f5 She takes care of our two children. Not sure what the myth is exactly.
If you had no kids, would she still be home?
Hmm. You must be really rich, then. Every guy I know be like Money good. More money better. π€·π»ββοΈ
Yes. She was. Although she spent a lot of time at friends and family houses.
She worked until we were married then it was being my wife.
Then you have a housewife. Rare housewife sighting in the wild.
I 100% admit it's rare. Very many women didn't fit the bill. My wife always wanted to be a mother over and above everything else. A lot of women have been persuaded that there is some higher calling than literally making and raising the next group of humans. Very odd perspective, in my estimation.
Even those of us who are at home, for a time, often spend it trying to maintain our contacts and skill set, since we know we're going to be SENT BACK TO THE OFFICE.
My wife struggled with that but my track record and my complete disdain for divorce assured her that I am not going anywhere. Also I have no problem with lucrative hobbies as long as they are a back seat to child rearing. She's an artist and I definitely encourage her to sell commissions if she wants. Just children and house come first.
Or they just don't want kids. Children aren't robots you can program.
Never get a break, though, and everyone expects you to spend all day taking care of the house, instead of working.

Wait...what? My wife is a "housewife" and I want her to be that. She helps me be productive, happy, and successful. She's a badass mom. I'm super happy for her to just be home and not go work somewhere. We have less stuff than we could have, but I don't give a shit. She worked until right after we got married and then she got to be whoever she wanted to be for a few years. I thought men wanted this?
There's a big difference between lots of men complaining about "career women" on the Internet and some particular man ponying up his paycheck for housekeeping.
Yeah, that supply ain't gonna meet demand. Like all the homespun Christian girls left on the shelf because it turns out Christian guys don't like homespun.
And when the kids are adults?
Guess I don't understand what you mean. I don't see a lot of complaining about career women and I don't think I pony up for a housekeeper.
