it hit about 8 hours ago, so, if you were somewhere north like new york or higher you may have seen lights in the sky, it was a KP7 geomagnetic storm it is likely that a much bigger storm is coming in a few days when the massive coronal holes fully face the earth, there is a strong possibility of big earthquakes as well
