ah, damn, now i've got a new game i need to play that will waste too much of my time https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/45682/Kingdom_Two_Crowns_Olympus_Edition/ i spotted this a month or two ago and i was looking forward to an upgrade... kinda hit a wall on finding replay value on the base game, though only really just recently after unlocking all the hermits and getting to the point of having blowed up the greedies a few times very fun game, if you like tower defense/city builder type sims this one is like the game that could have been made in 1985 but nobody ever came up with the idea, and probably the amount of memory and processing required to model behaviour of NPCs offscreen in a big map was too much (i used to find civ4 was very problematic in late game for the waiting time for npcs turns, and if it were realtime this would mean steadily slowing interactivity as the number of entities continues to increase anyway, can't talk, playing new stupid game #steam #games #kingdom
oh yeah, this is nice, the graphics are so pretty pastel soft focus style same game, probably, but everything is so much prettier, and i suppose there will be more variations in the structures and worker types and such... definitely worth it and they are on a promo right now so you can get this stack pretty cheap... i also got the royal wardrobe and this lets me make my player a minotaur
i have a steam controller coming so i'm girding up for putting the hdmi cable across to the sony tv that came with this little flat and being lazy on the couch with one hand playing this game won't get the nice HDR like this lil portable screen but meh, lounging to play this game will make that worth the sacrifice... it's a pretty slow game, major timewaster in that regard and yeah, they have revamped the music, of course, even more atmospheric than ever, this game system truly is an innovation in the field, i'm sure someone will build competitors there is already one space colony game that uses the same model of 2d world but they have shiny 3d graphics instead of pixel style
