Watched Made in Britain (1983), a drama directed by Alan Clarke. The story follows a 16 year old skinhead with a swastika tattoo on his forehead who is sent to a court ordered group home after he attacked a Pakistani shop. No matter what the social workers try, he continues being violent, stealing cars and snorting glue. This movie takes a hard look at institutional failure. The movie had some really interesting scenes. Like that scene where the social worker writes on the chalk board all the ways he failed as a human being. But the main character was unlikable. Extremely aggressive and aimless. Tim Roth was really good in his role. 6.8/10 #nodereviews
Good way to get a snapshot of life in a certain region at a given time
The person who recommended it says it is. From other realistic movies depicting that time in that region I say yes as well
Thought about it some more while I wrote this 🤷🏾♂️
Didn’t enjoy it as much 🤷🏾♂️
