1. Twitter is an absolute hellhole. Trust nothing you see there, even if your agree with it - it is the focal point of the psychological assault on your mind. 2. The scale and scope of the supposed intel failure preceding Hamas launching an attack on Israel by air, land, and sea makes it extremely hard to believe. But it is happening, so arguing over this point is largely irrelevant. 3. Regardless of its genesis, this war is exactly the kind of thing that fraught and faltering authoritarian and violently Zionist Netanyahu government would need to maintain itself and to retighten Israeli society around highly emotive, fear-based militarized tribalism - and so, this is almost unquestionably how this conflict will be leveraged.
