Also known as "Gossip Model", because of #[0]'s Gossip client, although #[1] prefers to call it "the Nostr model" as it is so obviously the correct way to deal with relays.#[2]le has suggested a name that I like more, though, "Outbox Model", because it tries to find what relays each pubkey is using as their outboxes, then listen to those. But probably "autopilot" is the name that will stick more, it has all the good marketing qualities.

Last sentence of below: The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Improvement Act was passed in 1991, giving the FDIC the responsibility to rescue an insolvent bank by the least costly method. The Act had the implicit goal of eliminating the widespread belief among depositors that a loss of depositors and bondholders will be prevented for large banks. I’ve attended countless technology and industry conferences in my career. Nostrica is different. This is something special and unique. It’s simultaneously optimistic, authentic, forward thinking, and at the same time pragmatic and humble. It’s refreshing to be in a space with builders and not have the conversation frowned out by corporations and VCs. What an awesome community. #Nostrica

Will be interesting if that remains the same primary ethos year over year, I hope so, and think it has a good chance. That said, and not attending personally, but watching the live stream there seems to be a growing concern around funding projects for the long term and think VCs and centralizing forces will certainly gain traction as the S curve of this tech matures.

I think you’re right, but also feel like the foundational components of nostr could make a difference. It’s one thing to win by making the best car that everyone wants, it’s another to limit the choice of car to only one option because you control all the keys. If people can take their key and choose their vehicle maybe that will force developers and companies to do right by their users.

Good metaphor and I agree. I know it’s not a Bitcoin conference, but appears to be a lot of idealogical parallels between the two communities. Not saying this must happen for Nostr to succeed, but in a world of btc NgU, I could see more grassroots funding efforts for Nostr projects. A new generation of microinvesting to help fund the production of more awesome vehicles for the world to put keys into, all permissionless.

Education is crucial, and Mi Primer Bitcoin is doing a kick-ass job. If those numbers aren't proof, enough rumor has it that, thanks to his words, no coiners became whole coiners after his talk was over. Thanks, John! Education is a pillar for adoption, and we appreciate that you took the lead. Day two also brought #[5] onto the stage after a few days of not knowing if his voice would come back, Nostrica magic did its thing, and we heard him give a history class that if you were a newcomer to nostr, you would think this has been going on for years, please listen to this cool voice note I got from him (taking this reporter job very seriously, I am even walking around recording the thoughts of plebs).
