Unpopular opinion: Our devices and operating systems will #thoon all come with AI whatevers, so it's sort of pointless to build general AI into apps, unless that AI is somehow tailored to specialize in some particular use case that the app has focused on. And then the AI isn't general, anymore, but probably distilled and/or pre-prompt engineered. Also, machine learning is underrated.
It would save a lot of computation, if people just tapped into models they have on their devices. Like, search fields could fall back onto OpenSearch installations on a server. https://opensearch.org/
