I am all about building resilience, but sometimes life gets tough and that is when I lean on the resilience I have built, instead of trying to build more. Different seasons, within any time frame including day to day, call for different levels of hormetic (aka good) stress. If life is generally chill, then I increase good stress, like including cold showers. If life is stressful, then I reduce hormetic stress, by taking a cool or even hot shower. Same reason I cycle keto. Ketosis is a hormetic stress. My body needs a break from it. Carbs aren't inherently evil, but their evil potential is dose dependent ;) Listen to your body. It is doing its best.
