I'm working on a bot and I'm looking for volunteers to help me test it. To be eligible, you must have a LN Address (lud16) configured in your nostr profile. The bot is simple. It "watches" my account and, for every "like" (NIP-25 reaction) I do, it will automatically tip a certain amount of sats to the LN Address of the author of that note. To volunteer: - simply reply to this message - I will "like" your reply, which should trigger my bot to tip you 1000 sats to your LN Address - I will ask you to confirm if you received them - check your LN wallet and let me know if you received them or not What you'll get: - in addition to the tipped sats, and regardless if the test works, I'll send the first 5 volunteers each 5000 sats Note: these are not zaps, these are simple standard LN tips, sent from my Umbrel.

Never tried it. Does it give you a Lightning Address? (if you go in the receive screens)
Great. If you choose that, and copy-paste that LN Address in your nostr profile, then it should work. Your nostr client should have a field for LN Address or LNURL (or lud06, or lud16). Let me know when you added it there.

I want to be part of the solution, not part of the problem. What's needed: - Zapping not easily counterfeitted - Sort by zaps algo - One click zap ⚡, as easy as like. Default amount of zap in settings. Once that's available in some client - that's the client I'll use and promise to never like another note ever again.
Like festival in the meantime! Everyone replying to this note gets a like 👍

Something like how stacker.news makes it easy. Problem there though is custodial. But everyone just uses WoS here I guess...

I should've clarified this... likes will never go away if you need to go to another app to complete action. Need integrated solution - tap, done.

Quite a while back someone mentioned that relays were about to start requiring POW to post, and I got quite concerned that I wouldn't be able to post anymore so I added the POW feature in about an hour. Here we are almost 2 months later and no relay that I'm aware of requires POW. BTW: I divide up the space of 64-bit numbers into N sections (N=number of cores) and start one thread for each that sequentially scans through their section of possible nonces, with the nonce attempt being the next number, and when the signature has the requisite leading zeroes, it signals success so that all the threads stop.
So far I’ve tried Strike and BlueWallet (zapping #[3] for his help) both work fine… but it’s that friction of extra 4 screens that keeps likes in the game. Optimistic for the long term though.
Once we can click on zap and not get this screen, we'll know we've arrived
If you set default wallet + default amount on Damus isn't it instant without additional screens?

I see what you mean. I’m using Damus and have a default zap app (Mine is Phoenix) but the app is opened to confirm the zap before sending. We need a way to approve an app to send zaps, is the for #[5] or the wallet to implement?
Is showing the zaps to others a solution? If so what’s the problem? Underreporting?

Agree. For now, Alby can do it. Set allowance and allow auto-pay.

I'm using getalby.com as my wallet and Iris as my client - on Brave browser. Clicking on the zap icon in posts immediately launches the Alby extension and with a couple of clicks I can make a payment. Seamless experience.
I see that it's on all of us that want this... find a way to make it happen. Practically I'm thinking in direction to look into code for client I could contribute to and then it's about how to hold balance to use for zapping.
