tbh, I'm quite astonished that you actually made it living in China for 30 years. my friend who's given up and back to Ohio during covid said he realized that "this land could never be home" for him. it's heartbreaking if you fight hard to integrate into somewhere for years and finally realize this land is not meant for you from the protocol level. Roman empire and Confucius empire were always 2 poles of the Euroasia land. the two different peoples never had any chance to live amongst each other for during the past thousand years. from what what i observe as an expat living in Europe, this is a protocol level misalignment.
