I watched The Piano Teacher (2001), a psychological drama film, directed by Michael Haneke. An austere piano professor at the Vienna conservatory lives in a symbiotic relationship with her bossy mother. She has a secret life of voyeurism and masochism. It starts falling apart when a talented student becomes fixated with her. This movie achieved a rare triple win at the 2001 Cannes film festival. The Grand Prix, the second highest prize after the Palmes d’Or. Best actress for Isabelle Huppert (the piano teacher) and best actor for Benoit Magimel (the student). This film is really good and extremely disturbing. First 10 minutes start as a totally normal, PG movie. But then something happens and it starts to unravel quickly. It’s then a slow decent into hell. The main actress steals the show. All of the movies I’ve seen her in so far are excellent. Really enjoyed this one. 9/10 #nodereviews
